"The short of it is that the Fleshlight feels great under perfect conditions, and feels good under not so perfect conditions. I'll elaborate more:

To get the optimum amount of sensation out of this toy, you have to heat up the fleshlight sleeve for a good 5-10 minutes. This may not seem like a lot of time, but if you're feeling horny it's very rare that you're willing to wait those minutes for the sleeve to warm up. The logistics of heating the sleeve are a bit weird too, since the sleeve floats if you put it in a container of water, you'll have to find some way to force it to be submerged for optimal warming. By heating it up however, the sleeve feels extraordinarily good. Even if you don't heat it up though, as I said it still feels good.

The basic Fleshlight comes in a steel canister with the Fleshlight logo on the side. Inside I found the Fleshlight sealed in it's wrapping, directions, and a sample of lube. The Fleshlight has a hard black plastic outer which looks like a flashlight. Additional colors can be purchased for $20 from the Fleshlight website. Inside this there is a very life like feeling synthetic skin sleeve vagina. This flesh like sleeve is easy to remove for cleaning or replacement with a different sleeve upgrade.

Over the years I've experimented with my own home made designs so I've figured out techniques to use such a device. One technique is to slip the Fleshlight between the bed mattresses and this will hold and secure the Fleshlight in position enabling a doggy style position.
